Default WolfMan Remake

I was never really impressed by the original. It seems that Universal had hit a Creativity wall in 1939. That was the year of Son of Frankenstein. From that point on, they could come up with no new ideas. The Wolfman was good, but hardly groundbreaking. The next film in the series was Frankenstein meets the Wolfman. Don't get me wrong. I loved this film and all of the Universal Horror films, but I can't help thinking how good they could have been if they had had some good writers with some real Ideas.
As for the new Wolf Man, it looks very good. Maybe they can get a good flick out of the old script.

I thought the new Wofman wasn't too bad, it just felt a little too much like a very long trailer, not allowing itself to breathe enough, I know that's down to the problems with some modern audiences though.
I liked Elfmans score, hints of Kliar's Dracula but that isn't a bad thing.

I do love the old Universal movies though, for me they're just rich in tone and atmosphere, even if as pointed out before the writing wasn't always superb, I just love the music of Salter and Skinner.

Anyway, I'm sure people will enjoy this remake

You can't beat the originals though, remakes only ever seem to improve the effects but ruin the story, although that is just my opinion.
